STUMBLE AND FALL Well it’s late, it’s me again, callin again Knew it was late, couldn’t stop myself, I needed you Let myself in, cat said hello Stumble & Fall <CHORUS> Headline will read. He had no right Creepin round her place Late at night Walkin to the bedroom down the hall then he’s Starin at the walls Till his final stumble and fall Till his final stumble and fall You moved on, out on a date, like he should’ve done She never knew, he had the knife, sharp and light They Walked in, Things were so right, Stumble & Fall BREAK Happened so fast, lights came on, why was he there? Didn’t fight back, painful screams, blood everywhere Knew he should not look what he’s now got Stumble & Fall <CHORUS> Headline will read. He had no right Creepin round her place Late at night Walkin to the bedroom down the hall then he’s Starin at the walls Till his final stumble and fall Till his final stumble and fall

I got your head in a jar Back in the back of my car Sporting your underwear A little piece of your hair Figured out where you live Wanted to live in your skin I’ve never been right But never had a fight Chorus Started off as fun and games woah Don’t cross my path You are the first of many I got your head in a jar You said I was a drag Come breath in my rag I kill all the skags Not human to me Kill people like fleas You tried to run Chasing you is fun put your head in my jar My Mom beat me I couldn’t flee Every woman Is her to me Didn’t have enough time Now I am building a shrine Don’t want to forget The way we met.

about

This record is in honor of our bass player Dan Hoover who passed away this summer. We recorded most of the content in 2019 however, these amazing songs never saw the light of day. The band fell apart, and my long marriage to Thorazine's guitarist ended. My older son suffered severe mental illness and encountered an accident that almost killed him.

That album sitting there almost finished ALWAYS bothered me. It was the most brutal Thorazine of our career. I begged Hoover to finish it with me, but he said nope, let it be. In the end, I feel like he left it for me to complete. All of Thorazine's bass players left their mark on the band, and it was no different with Hoover. He was a big man and made deep noises on that bass. He also was a thoughtful person with amazing ideas on singing. He and I worked well together. From the time he auditioned, I said he was "of Thorazine." He and his partner Gurski became part of the dysfunctional but loving family we created.

My favorite Thorazine show of this era was in Asheville, NC. We arrived at the record store we were going to play, and the kids were lined up!! When we got on stage, the place erupted!! The pit was wild, and I found myself hiding behind Hoover, who I had a squabble with that afternoon! Punks nearing 50 could break a hip in that environment, and I had broken bones onstage on tour before. I will never forget Hoover's face and the delight at the mayhem! That and my 10 and 12-year-old kids standing behind the pit beaming after having been dragged on tour.

Hoover passed away unexpectedly on his birthday, July 9th. I had texted him the evening before, as we were in the middle of forming another band together and I told him while in his job quest, "Go for it you have so much you can do", that was our last message. I'm glad I encouraged him to the end and I'm proud to call him my close friend.

Hoover was child-free and had mentioned to me many times that his legacy was the music he created as well as his accomplishments in the sport of rowing. He wanted to be on hospice and listen to all his creations with the bands he was a part of on a loop. This is what pushed me to complete this.

Hoover I trusted you with this stuff. So In H00v3r I TRUST! Rest in power, you dear man. Thank you for supporting me and championing me in taking care of my kids. You were so special to me.

Jo-Ann Rogan

We want to thank everyone who has loved and supported us over the years. So many Philly bands if I started naming them here, I would run out of room, Lee Josephs of Dionysus/Hell Yeah; Philly Music Studios, who took us in at this incarnation, and their space became our rehearsal home; Bruce Howe for recording this, and then helped me get this finished; the legion of Thorazine bass players F'ed, Scotty Parker, John Quinn, Jim Kyd, Ross Abraham, and Dan Hoover. All of them classy gentlemen who left their mark on Thorazine, and we on them.

Alaina Gurski, who lost her mate and still is a part of the family and is happy to listen always.

Last but not least, I thank the kids Elliott, and I bore... Ryan Rogan Taylor and Aaron Rogan Taylor. They moved equipment, sat at rehearsals and played Mindcraft, went on tour with us, allowed us to be us, and always had a big smile at the shows. Hoover always supported my boy's athletic endeavors and allowed me to be the best Mom I could be.

To Hoover's bands - Chthulu Martini, Mighty Joe Castro, and the Gravamen, DelcoBilly, and Magnetic Jesus for sending us a bass player.

To his bestie Dan Morris for coming on tour and providing so many of these pictures.

H00v3r may you be at peace and rule the afterlife.
